We offer in-house embroidery service. Embroidery product outcome all rests on proper logo digitizing. We do some digitizing in-house and have a great digitizer we use for projects above our expertise. Either way, we can get you fixed up with the embroidered products you desire.

Do we charge a digitizing fee?

• Yes, our standard digitizing fee is $30 for simple designs without a ton of detail work.

• Designs that require more detail and/or larger sized designs will be quoted based on detail and size requirements.

What is digitizing?

• Embroidery digitizing is the process of converting existing artwork like a company logo or team emblem into a stitch file that an embroidery machine can sew on a garment. Before any design can be embroidered, it must be digitized. Digitizing is a complex process that is both art and science.

Equipment

• We currently run one, two-head commercial Tajima embroidery machine.

• We are setup to stitch headwear and flats(shirts/jackets/backpacks etc..)

Thread Use

• Here at 1982 we use 40 weight Poly embroidery thread on most jobs.

Benefits of Poly Thread

• stronger than most cotton, silk, wool, or rayon threads.

• resistant to tears, fraying, and breakage.

• resistant to stretching and shrinking when washed.

• resistant to chemicals and will not bleach, bleed, or fade over time or when exposed to chemical cleaners.

• excellent for embroidery on items that will be used outdoors.

• easy to wash, resists the growth of mildew, and dries quickly when wet.
